Today, I got a change to try the new expressway before it starts operation (and charge!) on next Monday, 14 January. Seriously I can’t imagine the path that I will taken. My guess would be an elevated highway connectiong KL until Sg. Besi highway. I couldn’t be more wrong.
If my memory served me right, I saw the signboard says Jalan Tun Razak. So I went there. This is the start for the expressway, Jalan Tun Razak, right before SMART tunnel entrance. Along the way, i can see Carrefour Jalan Peel on my right as well as Plaza Uncang Emas with Jalan Loke Yew right beneath me.Upfront, there was a signboard saying “Plaza Tol Di Hadapan”. TheSalak Selatan toll plaza near the Miharja’s LRT station. At this point, still can’t tell how much the toll fee as the signboard’s column for fee is still empty. If you’re using TnG service, it’s still require for you to ‘touch’ for you to ‘go’. (no charge, though).
I went straight ahead passing Kuchai and burst up at Sri Petaling (I can tell by looking at the Carrefour, again). This is the last interchange before you reach Putrajaya. Straight, I went. On my left, there was Technology Park. Starting from here, the road seemed like a straight line going no where. Nothing happen for a few minutes as I passing by boring road with noting on the side ( except few new townships).
Next is Hentian Sebelah Sri Kembangan. Stil empty, no tenants. On my right, I can see Jusco Taman Equine. Hmm, I can see where this was going. After a very dull moments, I reached Putrajaya toll plaza and ‘touch’ed for free. Passed the toll plaza, lay 2 roads splitting to Putrajaya and KLIA. Choosing KLIA leads to ELITE - Putrajaya exchange.
I think the rest of the option says it all. My word is, if you’re coming from my area (ampang), use Kajang Silk instead. Saves you from the trouble of going to KL or Bukit Jalil entrance. Happy travelling.
